Daniel K. Edwards, II
Daniel no longer works at New Vision Counseling but we have many amazing counselors that would love to join you in your journey of healing and hope today!
You feel completely overwhelmed. For so long you have put everyone else’s needs before your own, and now you have nothing for yourself. Maybe your problems are seemingly getting worse, maybe you feel lost, unsure of how or what you should do next. The house is a wreck, kids are fighting, your boss is upset about something, and once again you feel overwhelmed and paralyzed. You try to go to sleep, but your mind will not stop replaying all of your failures over and over again. You know your body is telling you there has to be a reduction in your anxiety. You are having trouble sleeping, constantly feeling on edge, most of the time your stomach is in knots, and you are both mentally and physically exhausted. This current storm you are going through leaves you feeling worthless, as if you’ve wasted so much time and energy? It is my desire and prayer for you that you do not continue living this life.
By working together with couples, individuals, and families they learn new ways to overcome feelings of anxiety and stop imprisoning themselves. Together we will find new ways that you can find support within yourself, and from others. We will examine how our words get mixed up when talking to family members creating more stress, anxiety, and mind-reading scenarios. We will create an environment in which you are able to talk about your needs and wants in such a way that neither you nor those in your family feel threatened or insecure. You owe it to yourself, relationships, and family to have your outlook on life be better.
In counseling I put an emphasis on creating a “team” atmosphere that helps draw the family closer together. Just as on a sports team where each team member has a role to perform and responsibilities the team relies upon. We will discuss and create roles and responsibilities within your family, relationships, and self. I do not want you to continue being overwhelmed and struggling with life. Let us work together to change your situations so you can have the life you have always wanted.
